The offline part starts when you install it.

OurFold runs in a browser tab, but a tab isn't yours to keep. Installing puts the app and both full Bible translations — about 9 MB — onto your device. That's what makes Scripture open on a plane, in a hospital room, or with the signal gone entirely. A tab you never installed can be cleared by the browser at any time; installed, it stays.

Why OurFold is different

Most faith apps are built to harvest. OurFold is built to forget.

Prayer is the most personal thing you do. The big Bible apps are free because you are the product — your reading habits, your struggles, your data. OurFold keeps the sacred core of your faith on your device, where it belongs. The one thing we hold is an account name and a hashed PIN, so you can get your walk back if you lose your phone.
